About Eternal Venture

‘Eternal Venture’ is a action comic that takes place on a distant planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. It’s about 2 differing forces battling it out for the fate of each planet they come to. These forces are beings, known as ‘Tre-Nal’, of energy that can take over and inhabit a host of their choice, until the time of the host’s death. After the host dies, the ‘Tre-Nal’ is released. When all ‘Tre-Nal’ have left their hosts, the combined energy the beings have, allow them to travel to the next planet.

Back story:

Kam, the leader of the faction of ‘Tre-Nal’ that occupy the Tomier Kingdom on planet Trella, has just been attacked by the apposing ‘Tre-nal’ faction that also occupies the planet. These ‘Tre-nal’ have taken hosts that suit them for various reasons and through their parasitic nature, they also inn act their doctrine onto the world they happen to inhabit… in this case, Planet Trella.

Through the ages, as the Tre-Nal are time-less, these beings have inhabited thousands of worlds and through adversity, action, or inaction have systematically either annihilated each other, or annihilated the planet’s inhabitants. The core of the problem between the two warring factions is that they disagree with the way they should continue through their existence. One side believes they should destroy the world’s inhabitance (or just the world in general) and then move onto the next world, so they can obtain more and more power. On the other hand, the other group believes they should live out their hosts’ lives and enjoy their existence on the new worlds they visit.

This war came to a standstill on planet Trella, when a short peace accord kept the fighting at bay for the last 5 years (a short time for beings that have been alive since the beginning of time itself). Now, however, the peace accord has seemingly been broken by Therm, the evil underling of Nem, the overlord of the destructive ‘Tre-Nal’. Nem, whose terrible past has included the building and actual usage of a device that destabilized the black hole of a galaxy (destroying the Galaxy), is oddly absent from the story thus far.

Story thus far (spoilers):

Kam sends out two of the greatest warriors on the resistance side, Mal and Garm. Garm, sadly, had a tough time integrating with his host in a time of crisis. He was unable to combine the strength of his past lives was annihilated. Mal on the other hand has become a terror on the battlefield destroying all in her path. She is a force to behold and is the main character in this story…

Anywho, Character Profiles…

Mal is a warrior woman at her finest. She’s got one hell of an attitude issue, but knows how to get a job done. She’s got some prior issues she still deals with when it comes to past planets, but she is one of the strongest Tre-nal spirits alive. Mal is consistently one of the last Tre-nal to leave the planets and rarely dies until the war for the planet is over. Simply: She’s absorbed some of the strongest entities in the galaxy, she’s a total bad ass, and woe unto anyone who crosses her.

Kam is the leader of the Tre-Nal resistance group. He is on par (in strength) with Nem, but is far too trusting. All around, he’s a good guy and he laments having to hurt people. The host he’s taken on Trella is the cruel ruler, King Tomier and his good nature may come into question with the planet’s inhabitance that knew the ‘former’ king.
Drake is Kam’s 2nd in command and best friend.
Garm is one of the stronger of the resistance group, but he had a hard time getting his host to cooperate in a crisis and he was torn apart. The Tre-nal spirit of Garm was released and he will be on the next planet… DECEASED.
Therm is the second in command of Nem’s forces. He is a rude and terrible being that often instigates conflict on worlds. His only true fears are of Nem and Kam. When it comes down to it, he’s a weasel… a really strong weasel.
